About Plan Your Book in a Weekend - for Coaches and Healers

In this course you're going to learn a different approach to planning. The methods you're going to learn are powerful and practical – and you can fit them into a weekend. Work through the exercises as you go through and you'll have your plan written by the end of the weekend. The course is divided into four modules:

  • Getting Started
  • Content Planning
  • The Final Stages
  • Extras

There are ten steps to work through. In Getting Started, you'll work through steps one to three, beginning to get your plan down on paper. The first three steps are:

  • The Brain Download – where you'll get all of the stuff that's in your head down on the page
  • The Questions – a set of questions that enable you to go deep
  • The People – where you'll consider your target audience

In Content Planning, you'll create your plan. You'll consider the reader's journey from the beginning of the book to the end and the nuts and bolts of your content. You'll also think about the research you need to put in, and come up with a research plan, and you'll structure your book using an easy-to-learn technique I call the Subheadings Method. Steps four - nine are:

  • The Journey – your reader's journey
  • The Content – the variety of content available
  • The Research – create your research plan
  • The Structure – begin to structure your ideas
  • The Subheadings –  learn and apply the subheadings method
  • The Break – have a break! You deserve it.

In the Final Stages, you'll write up your plan, hone it and smarten it up. You know when you had to do a 'best' version at school? This is your best effort, but only for now. So the final step is:

  • The Smart Version

In the last module, called Extras, you'll get some bonus materials:

  • What to do next
  • How I did it and
  • How to create a selling document

Let's get started!

About Louise Tondeur

Hi. I'm Lou. I'm a writer and a writing tutor. I live on the (sometimes) sunny south coast of England. A few years back I wrote the first 'small steps guide', a nonfiction book based on two principles. One, you can take any goal – like writing a book – and break it down into smaller and smaller steps until it becomes doable. Two, if you take small but specific actions towards your goals regularly enough, they'll have a snowball effect. In this course I apply exactly the same ideas to the process of planning a nonfiction book, a book that will enable you to support your existing clients, bring more people into your world, and potentially reach an international audience. These are accessible techniques that you can implement THIS WEEKEND! With help from Plan Your Book in a Weekend – for Coaches and Healers you can start taking small steps towards planning your book today. See you on the inside.
